The CLAT entrance exam takes place every December, and the CLAT exam for the 2026 session will be held in December 2025. The CLAT exam is conducted offline in a pen-and-paper format by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to 5-year integrated LL.B. and 1-year LL.M. courses. It consists of 120 questions, each carrying 1 mark, making the exam a total of 120 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer, and the duration of the exam is 2 hours.
